The AN/VVR-4 delivers unmatched detection capabilities to protect warfighters

DANBURY, Conn., Dec. 4, 2023 – Danbury Mission Technologies, an ARKA Group, L.P. company, was awarded a $136 million, 5-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from U.S. Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal to deliver AN/VVR-4 Laser Detecting Systems (LDS) with planned installation on multiple U.S. Army ground vehicles. The company will also provide test hardware and support services as part of the contract.

ARKA’s Defense Systems team in Danbury, Connecticut, developed the first-of-its-kind AN/VVR-4 LDS to deliver a best-in-class solution to meet current and future battlefield requirements as demonstrated in a recent evaluation conducted by the U.S. Army Vehicle Protection Systems Office to select a common laser warning system for U.S. Army ground combat vehicles.
